1. Who we are and acceptance
These Terms of Service govern your use of www.decksandbalcony.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated by American Building Development, a licensed California contractor (CSLB License #1060736), under the Decks & Balcony (California Decks & Balcony) brand (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Services
We provide deck and balcony construction, repair, renovation, waterproofing and railing work, and SB 721 / SB 326 inspections and related compliance services, mainly for commercial, multifamily and HOA properties in California. Information on the Site describes our services in general. The scope, price and schedule of any work are agreed in a separate written agreement before work begins, and that agreement governs the work.
3. Estimates and quotes
Estimates and price ranges given through the Site, by phone or by e-mail are non-binding and depend on an on-site assessment. A binding price is given only after an on-site assessment and is documented in a written agreement signed by both parties.
4. Contractor license
American Building Development holds California contractor license CSLB #1060736. You can check the license status at cslb.ca.gov. Proof of insurance is available on request.
5. Requests and communications
When you submit a request, please give accurate information about yourself and the property. We may call or e-mail you about your request. We send text messages only if you opt in (see section 6). How we handle the information you give us is described in our Privacy Policy; our use of cookies is described in our Cookie Notice.
6. Text messages
If you check the optional text-message box on one of our forms, you agree to receive transactional and informational text messages from California Decks & Balcony about your request, such as confirmations, scheduling and updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts and HELP for help, or contact us at (916) 848-2728 or info@decksandbalcony.com. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of requesting a quote or of any purchase. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You may not (a) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site; (b) interfere with the Site’s operation; (c) use automated tools to scrape or copy content; or (d) submit false information or impersonate someone else when using our forms.
8. Intellectual property
Content on the Site — text, photographs, graphics and logos — belongs to American Building Development or is used with permission. You may not reproduce or republish it without our written permission.
9. Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Information about California building codes, SB 721, SB 326 and other regulations is general guidance, not legal or engineering advice; always confirm current requirements with the responsible authority or a qualified professional.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by California law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site. Our liability for work we perform is governed by the written agreement for that work and by applicable law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute about these Terms or the Site shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. The new version applies from the date shown at the top. If you continue to use the Site after an update, the updated Terms apply to that use.
